----------------------------------- Making movies with flash - tutorial ----------------------------------- By Rocky "The SewerShark" Dowload your copy of flash on: www.macromedia.com In this tutorial, I will teach you how to make flash movies to be used in RM2000! You don't need to know flash programing! -------------- 1)Requeriments -------------- Flash (I use 4.0, but...) An image editor (not required, but is better) RM2000 (to upload your movie) ----------------- 2)The movie basic ----------------- First of all, you must know how an animation works! An animation is a serie os pictures that are in a sequece! By default, flash work on a frame rate of 12 fps (frames per second) but can be changed! ------------------------ 3)configuring your movie ------------------------ Ok, when you open you flash editor, you got a blank page! This page is in a default format! Your movie must be bigger, to fit on the screen! Go in Modify->movie (ctrl + m) and set your page to 350x265 pixels! ---------------------- 4)working on the movie ---------------------- 4.1 - layers: Flash work on layers, that mean that you don't have to draw the whole scene! So, use one layer for the scenario and the rest for the moving part! If you want the movie like a part of the game, you coult make a snapshot of your map and use as a bg! 4.2 - frames and keyframes There a important part of the flash that confuse most of the users, is the frame and keyframes! -frames are empty scenes, they show the same image of the previous frame (very useful on scenario layers, that must be the same, or a part that a chara don't move)! -Keyframes are frames that have an image by his own! 4.5 - scenes for example, your chara raises his arm and stay like this, you make a serie of keyframes for the armlifting anim, and a serie of frames fom stay like this! you can make several scenes, for the diferent parts of the movie, like, the first scene show the animation of the chara, the second, his dog. to create new scenes go in insert->scene to change the scene, right click on the last flame of your first scene, ang choose propeties, go to actions, click on the "+", "go to", and were says scene, choose the next scene! OBS: you don't need the create new scenes, but it help to organize! -------------------- 5) exporting to .avi -------------------- now with your movie done, just export to .avi format! File -> export and import to your RM2000! easy, but a lot of work! any questions: sewershark@aol.com.br ICQ: 21564656
